Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances celebrates its successful first-year anniversary of joint venture, while strengthens its product innovations, enriches cultural diversity, and sustainability approach to reach greater success through its new product portfolio, sustainable growth and long-term business objectives.
Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances, the manufacturer, distributor, and aftersales services provider of Hitachi branded home appliances globally (excluding those of Japan) celebrates its first-year anniversary. “Over the past year, Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances has developed products and contributed to providing a better experience for consumers in more than 65 countries around the world by improving their quality of life with better products and better features at affordable prices. We never stop consolidating our potential in every aspect, whether it is strong innovation or production technologies, research and development of new products which will be introduced to the market in the third quarter of this year. Achievement through the year with solid product strategies
Arçelik Hitachi has put its customers at the heart of business to enhance the experience and begun improving the existing product portfolio while expanding it with new product categories. “With Arçelik's strong innovation and production technologies in combination with Hitachi’s brand heritage and production power in Thailand, we aim to enrich Hitachi's product portfolio with new products such as dishwashers, dryers, coffee machines, and will never cease developing more smart and unique features.
This is clearly noticeable from our recently launched front loader washing machines and washer dryers, which are successful in attracting new customers thanks to the advanced features and technologies such as Auto Dose, AI wash, Wind Iron and IoT.” said Zafer Ustuner.
Fuel sustainable growth for long-term business results
In order to strengthen its strong position in the market and achieve sustainable growth, Arçelik Hitachi’s target for the next year is to launch high-quality and attractive products. The roadmaps have been created accordingly with the working collaboration between the internal design teams, Arçelik and Hitachi GLS teams, with the aim to increase overall efficiency and achieve better source utilization. With the Arçelik Hitachi position as being the connecting point between Arçelik and Hitachi GLS, the joint venture will continue to lead the R&D cooperation between both companies in the coming year.
Arçelik Hitachi also aims to actualize the target of being a sustainable organization through its strengths in cultural diversity. The company currently has employees from 19 different nationalities, to better understand the people and bring out the effective outcome, Arçelik Hitachi has created a core team at the headquarters which is multilingual and multinational to communicate and collaborate better with all employees.
Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances will carry on the sustainability approach that Arçelik and Hitachi GLS have been following for years.
The company aims to integrate sustainability into all its business operations and the entire value chain. “Our factory in Thailand has adopted solar energy, accounting for 20% of the total factory energy consumption. Thus, compared to last year, we reduced CO2 emissions to the atmosphere by 6,671 tons of CO2. Further, we also aim to increase the solar energy supply to 26% and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5% at end of next year while also working to reach 99% of waste recycling by 2030. On top of those commitments, there are also other goals set to boost energy efficiency and comprehensive eco-friendly water management in the near future to achieve success in being a world’s sustainable organization.” said Zafer Ustuner.

Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances was established on July 1, 2021, as a joint venture between Arcelik A.S. and Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc. to manufacture, sell and provide after-sales services of Hitachi branded home appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners globally (outside of the Japanese market).
